Evelyn Pelayo is a Bilbao-based artist and therapist working in ceramics, embroidery and collage. She studied Material Art and Design at the OCAD University in Toronto, Canada before moving on to work in Argentina, the UK and now Spain.

Her practice is heavily steeped in narrative, working primarily with human figures. By focussing on expression and gesture, she explores aspects of the human condition, inviting viewers to question their own roles and relationships. She also works as an art therapist, educator and cultural producer who is passionate about using art as an accessible way to connect, support and empower people and communities.
